Abstract | | | | We report a case of prolonged hypotension following spinal anesthesia combined dexmedetomidine sedation after recovery from motor and sensory blockade, with a patient who had a history of hypertension treated by angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). In this case, the several factors would have increased the hypotensive effect of the sympatholytic effect by blocking high level of spinal anesthesia. Therefore, risk of the hypotensive effect in patients taking ARB during spinal anesthesia should be kept in mind.
