Correlation of communication function with gross motor function in children with cerebral palsy

Abstract

Objective: To determine the correlation between communication and gross motor function in children with cerebral palsy.
Methodology: This cross-sectional study included children with cerebral palsy. Data were collected from the teachers, parents, or siblings of children with cerebral palsy. A spreadsheet of SPSS 21 was prepared, and data were analyzed.
Results: There was a significant association between the gross motor function classification system (GMFCS) levels and the communication function classification system (CFCS) levels.
Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between GMFCS levels and CFCS levels.
