Wednesday, the 28th of February 2024, was a sad day for pediatricians, pediatric patients and their families, friends, and acquaintances of the distinguished scientist Professor Salah Ahmed Ibrahim. On that sad day Sudan lost one of its great scientists in the areas of pediatrics and education. With his tragic departure, Prof. Salah left great sadness on everybody who knew him even for a short while in his rich life: as students in his innovative classes, or colleagues during his journey in universities, as patients seeking his great knowledge and experience, as a competent leader in education institutes, as a trusty friend who could provide valuable advice, as a commended mentor, or as a great human being.
