It's critical to identify sleep disturbances from the earliest period in childhood. For this reason, parents should have sufficient information about their children's sleep habits. The purpose of this study was to adapt the Parents' Sleep Knowledge Inventory (PSKI) to the Turkish language and examine the reliability/validity of the inventory. 182 children between the ages of 3 and 12 with typically developing and developmental disabilities participated in the study. The participants were evaluated with the Parents' Sleep Knowledge Inventory and Children's Sleep Habits Questionnaire (CSHQ). After the translation stage, internal consistency (with Cronbach alfa) and test-retest reliability (with Intraclass Correlation Coefficients) of the PSKI were calculated. The validity of PSKI was analyzed according to the correlation with CSHQ. The internal consistency of the PSKI was determined to be acceptable for the total inventory (Cronbach's alpha=0.774).
