Herbal Nanomedicines: A green augmented approach for synthesis of nanoparticles and recent applications

Ayushi Chauhan,Prasidhi Kambli,Parixit Prajapati.

Abstract

The scope of the nanotechnologies in the medicine expands, the critical role and advance contributions relevant to the public health at the time. Nanomedicines has been studied for a wide potential use of the targeted delivery of the drugs to overcome the wide range of the disease. The future of developing nanotherapeutics on the research findings for the profitable technologies of the nanomedicines. The current review covers the synthesis, properties, types, applications, and patents for conventionally prepared nanoparticles (NPs) in greater depth. NPs are small particles with a size range varying from 1 to 100nm. NPs can be categorized in various groups depending on their characteristics, shapes, and sizes. The several classes comprise metal nanoparticles, ceramic nanoparticles, polymeric nanoparticle etc. But the conventionally prepared nanoparticles can be toxic, hazardous and expensive so this review also gives detailed account on green synthesis of nanoparticles a simple, inexpensive and environment friendly green technique. Herbal Plant can be used to synthesis metallic nanoparticles e.g., silver and gold nanoparticles. This review goes over a variety of herbal extracts that are applied in biosynthesis of nanoparticles.

Key words: Metal Nanoparticles, Nanomedicines, Green chemistry, Herbal medicines, Nanocarriers, Trigger-responsive
