Objective: Morphological pattern of testicular germ cell tumors in different age groups were determined in this study.
Methodology: This was a retrospective study conducted in the department of Pathology, BMSI, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center, Karachi. Diagnosed malignant cases of testicular germ cell tumor during a period of 10 years from January 2006 to December 2015 were retrieved from the case files to be included in the study. Age distribution of different forms of testicular germ cell tumors according to the WHO classification was analuzed.
Results: Testicular germ cell tumors with specific morphological appearance were common between the 3rd and 4th decades of life with the mean age of 28 years.
Conclusion: The frequency of tumors according to age was similar to the national and international reports. However, a few exceptions were found in our study population. This provides valuable reference for future studies.
