Umbilical cord thrombosis is a rare pregnancy complication that can lead to fetal demise, occurring in approximately 1 in 1300 deliveries, 1 in 1000 perinatal autopsies, and 1 in 250 high-risk gestations. Given the lack of studies on this subject, the rarity, and the poor prognosis of this condition the authors aim to alert to this condition.
