Abstract
The aims of the research was to explore the relationship among dimensions of the followership effectiveness model namely passive, active and proactive styles of followership. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis were done for a 28-item new scale of Followership Effectiveness in the perceptions of 194 teachers from the education organizations. The scale would be a useful diagnostic for assessing followership styles or roles. Stratified random sampling was utilized. The study revealed that followership effectiveness has significant relationship with all three dimensions of passive, active and proactive styles of followership which are independent constructs. The findings contributes to the relatively limited number of research on followership and is the first empirical study to examine the three-factor model of followership effectiveness with passive, and proactive style of followers. This paper will enhance the understanding of effective leadership.
