Abstract

Objective: To investigate effects of Moderate Intensity Continuous Training (MICT) on the histomorphometric parameters of Inferior Vena Cava (IVC), Superior Vena Cava (SVC) and Aorta in rats.
Methodology: Twenty-four male healthy Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into two equal groups. Exercise group was assigned to Moderate intensity continuous training on treadmill for four weeks and control group remained sedantary. Morphometry was performed using Image J software. Luminal diameter, wall thickness and media thickness were measured.
Results: The luminal diameter (p

Key words: Moderate intensity continuous training, inferior vena cava, superior vena cava, aorta.
