Endometriosis is a chronic neuro-inflammatory disorder that is associated with debilitating chronic pelvic pain. Pain symptoms associated with endometriosis, including chronic pelvic pain, can negatively affect women. There is a negative influence of endometriosis on the general health of women, and pain associated with endometriosis is the main responsible cause for the negative effect of the disease on the quality of life (QoL). Hence, this systemic review was conducted to identify the QoL among women with endometriosis by reviewing the previous studies conducted on this subject. The databases of PubMed, Scopus, Elsevier, and Google Scholar were explored starting from 2019 till 2023 to obtain articles related to the study subject. The included search keywords were “Impact, effect, influence, association, correlation, QoL, endometriosis.” The inclusion criteria were original articles conducted on women with endometriosis and reported QoL among them. A total of 898 articles were obtained, and only 8 articles were eligible for the inclusion criteria. The studies included a total number of 1,665 women. The tools used for QoL assessment included Endometriosis Health Profile (EHP)-30, EHP-5, SF-36, SF-12, and World Health Organization QoL-Brief. The QoL among women with endometriosis is low and significantly deteriorates due to the delay in diagnosis. In addition, there are various factors associated with QoL impairment. However, improving QoL can be achieved by early diagnosis and treatment.
