Abstract | | | | We present a case of fracture of second lumbar vertebra. 37 years old male presented to us with trauma to the back after collapse of a building. Plain X-ray abdomen showed transverse fracture with complete displacement of fragments. MRI showed continuation of spinal cord. Under general anesthesia, internal fixation of the vertebral column was done. Patient was discharged after few days. At the time of discharge, he was fully mobile without any residual neurological deficit. The different types of vertebral column injuries and there complications are also discussed here.
