Financing In Education In The Light Of National Education Policy (Nep) 2020

Abstract

Finance is the science of controlling money. Financing of Education is no doubt, concerned with resources and expenditure. Resources are generally of two types, namely, human resources and physical resources. The human resources are concerned with skilled manpower and qualified personnel which are required for instruction, supervision, inspection, direction and administration of education. Physical resources are of two kinds, namely, material resources and capital resources. Material resources refer to the building, classrooms equipment, furniture, laboratory, play-grounds, text books, teaching aids, etc. and capital resources are the finances. At the same time, receipts are the money received from the capital resources and expenditure refers to the financial charges incurred in organising education.
