Reverse –Z- Shaped main pancreatic duct in case of recurrent idiopathic pancreatitis

Abstract

Pancreatic ductal anomalies can cause recurrent pancreatitis. We describe a case of idiopathic recurrent pancreatitis in which found, Reverse –Z – Configuration of pancreatic duct, finding which we observed may be an rare anatomical variant or an acquired ductal configuration secondary to pancreatic duct inflammation. As per our knowledge only one case report has such finding earlier. Clinical outcome of our patient was bad due to this abnormality.
