The COVID-19 pandemic has caused developments in health service delivery as well as a number of devastating effects. One of them is the implementation of telemedicine and digital health solutions. Due to the inequalities in access to health services and the lack of qualified manpower in the field of neurology, large masses have difficulties in accessing neurological medical care on a global scale. According to current research, patients suffering from frequently seen neurologic complaints like headaches and dizziness are more likely to consult their family physicians. The aim of this review is to emphasize the principles of neurological assessment in the telemedicine setting, to reveal the roles of neurologists and family physicians in health care delivery, and to address developments in teleneurology with a problem-solving approach. The dissemination of digital health solutions to the community will help broad masses access evidence-based neurological care.

Key words: telemedicine, neurology, family medicine, primary care
