The aim to the study is to show that knowledge produced by economic, and the through that its ideology, is socialized by means of textbooks. Development economics is taken up as the case to provide for this aim. The study points out that development textbook have been unable to capture transformations in reality and because of this have been the means to reproduce conventional understandings and approaches.
