The Small and Medium-Scaled Enterprises (SME's) are able to adapt themselves to economic changes with their flexible and dynamic structures. They are supposed to play a remarkable role in the economic and social life. In Turkey, more than 90% of the total number of firms are accepted as SME's and they seem as significant contributors to job creation.
The aim of this study is to examine SME's functioning in the machinery producing sector. This study also attemps to find out the problems of SME's from a closer point of view. İn addi tion, it tries to evaluate the export potential of the stated SME's.
