In order to evaluate the significance of iron supplementation on performance, 120 quail birds (unsexed, 7 days old) were randomly allotted to three groups (n=40 birds/ group), each group has 4 replicates of 10 birds each. Although, all the birds were fed maize-soya based basal ration, but additionally T2 and T3 groups were supplemented with iron in powder (as dietary supplement) and liquid form in drinking water @ 500 g/tonne and 10 ml/100 birds, respectively from 7th to 35th day of trial. Results revealed that body weight, body weight gain, feed intake and FCR remained unaffected by iron supplementation (P>0.05).
