Old ages’ attitudes and behaviors toward cardiovascular health promotion

Abstract

Objective: To evaluate old ages’ attitudes and behaviors regarding cardiovascular health promotion.
Methodology: This descriptive study was done from April 12th, 2022, to March 1st, 2023 and included 140 elderly males and females from public and private Geriatric Institutions in Baghdad. We used a questionnaire to achieve study objectives.
Results: Age ranged from 60-79 years. Majority of elderly people had a modest attitude toward Cardiovascular health promotion.
Conclusions: This study concluded that the attitude of elderly has a highly significant effect on their behavior on cardiovascular health promotion. Residents with poor attitudes and behaviors had a detrimental effect on cardiovascular health statistics.
