THE ATTITUDE OF YOUNG ADULTS AGAINST PEOPLE WHO HAVE HIV/AIDS

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the attitude of the students who have been graduating at the School of Health and School of Social Science against people who have HIV/AIDS. The universe of this descriptive study was 304 students (192 students were from the School of Health at the University of Celal Bayar and 112 students from School of Social Science at the same university). The data were collected by using HIV/AIDS prejudice test (ICN’s International Nurses Days declaration, 2003). The data were evaluated by using SPSS 10.0 statistical program on computer. It was determined that the students of School of Health were more sensitive than the students of School of Social Science against people with HIV/AIDS for prejudice.
