This study was designed to reveal the diagnostic efficiency of total antioxidant capacity (TAC), total oxidant capacity (TOC), oxidative stress index (OSI), thiol/disulphide homeostasis (TDH), albumin (ALB) and ischaemia-modified albumin (IMA) parameters in the assessment of oxidative stress in dogs with babesiosis. While the babesiosis group consisted of a total of 7 dogs with clinical and parasitological (ELISA) diagnoses of babesiosis, the control group consisted of 7 healthy dogs. Blood samples were taken from both groups. While the levels of TAC, TOC and ALB in the blood serums of the groups were measured using a commercial kit, the levels of total thiol (TT), native thiol (NT) and IMA were measured using the method.
