Abstract

Koshtha is the most important entity when it comes in context with the Panchakarma procedures. Because the treatment as well as its outcome depends upon the type of koshtha one has. Not having knowledge of koshtha leads to various complications. But, assessment of koshtha is tough when it comes to the factors involved in its assessment as well as the factors which influence it. Observing above areas, the knowledge of the standardized factors which help understanding nature of koshtha and helping in assessing it is still a deficient area in terms of research.
