Comparison of modern methods of diagnosing liver diseases

The article contains a comparative review of invasive and non-invasive methods of liver diagnosis. Brief characteristics of the main diagnostic methods of liver diseases used today are given. Particular attention is paid to comparing the methods of liver biopsy (as an invasive procedure) and elastography (as a non-invasive one). Attention is also focused on the physical basis of the elastography method. Additionally, information is provided on the most common liver diseases of the 21st century, including the consequences.
