In this study, it is aimed to reveal the parents' point of view about the play. The participants consisted of 137 parents living in Cukurca; a district of the city Hakkâri. In the study carried out by qualitative research method, semi-structured interview form was used as the data collection tool. It was concluded that the parents considered plays as fun and thought the children also considered so, plays were played by the children the most, they preferred toys as play tools, they learned through plays by having fun and plays was mostly shared by siblings. Besides it was seen that the time the parents spent with their children changed from half an hour to two hours, that they spent this time with play activities and that the most important factor affecting the play activities was technological instruments.
