Abstract
Nurettin Topçu, 1909 yılında İstanbul'da doğdu. Asıl adı Osman Nuri Topçu'dur. Topçuzade Ahmet Efendi ve Fatma Hanımın oğlu Nurettin Topçu, Erzurumun köklü ailelerindendir. Dedesi Osman Efendi, Erzurum'un Ruslar tarafından işgali sırasında orduda topçuluk görevinde bulunduğundan dolayı Topçuzadeler olarak tanınmıştır (Kara, 2009).
Key words: Nurettin Topçu, altı yaşında Bezmialem Valide Sultan Mektebinin Anasınıfına gitti. İlkokulu Büyük Reşid Paşa Numune Mektebi'nde okudu. Vefa İdadisinin birinci sınıfında okurken babası vefat etti. Lise öğrenimini İstanbul Erkek Lisesi'nin Edebiyat Bölümünde pekiyi derece ile tamamladı (1928).
