The study aimed to examine the effect of Seels and Glasgow Generic Model on the academic success and cooperative performance of 5th grade students in the Food Chain topic of the Science and Technology lessons . The study was done in the 2008 Spring Term at a primary state school in Istanbul with 30 5th grade students. For data collection Achievement Test (as pre-test and post-test), group self-evaluation form, group teacher evaluation form were used. The findings revealed that Seels and Glasgow - Generic Model had a positive effect on the achievement and cooperative performance of students
