An Investigation of School Culture with Respect to Some Variables

Abstract
In this research, it is aimed to find out whether the teachers and the principals in primary schools
have different perceptions for the culture in relation to personal, professional features and some features of their
schools. The data were obtained in 43 schools of Đzmir by means of a School Culture Questionnaire. According
to the findings, there is no significant difference in teachers perception average with regard to their ages,
branches, their principals having training in managerial work and to the duration of their duty in the schools; but
there is a difference in their perception with respect to the age and the size of their school. On the other hand, no
significant difference is found in the average principals perceptions considering these variables.
