Bu çalışmada Doç. Dr. Aysun UMAYın yazdığı Eski Arkadaşımız Okul Matematiğinin Yeni Yüzü adlı kitabın incelemesi yapılmıştır. Kitabın hedef kitlesi matematik öğretmenleri ve matematik öğretmenliği bölümlerinde okuyan öğretmen adaylarıdır. Kitabın, hedeflenen bu kitleye ders içeriklerinden bağımsız olarak, tüm düzeyler için matematik eğitimi alanında bilinmesi gerekenlerle ilgili bir bilgi kaynağı olması amaçlanmaktadır.
