A comparison of primary school teachers and special primary school teachers job satisfaction levels

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate job satisfaction level of primary school teachers and
special primary school teachers related to work itself and self-development, management and supervision,
payment, work conditions, interpersonal relations. A total of 42 special primary school teachers and 355
primary school teachers participated in this study. The data were analyzed using statistical techniques. Results
showed that teachers scored job satisfaction level at the medium level. Implications for primary school teachers
and special primary school teachers in terms of their job satisfaction according to their gender, age, seniority and
education level levels were discussed.
