Abstract | | | | Infertility is defined as a failure to conceive within one or more years of regular unprotected coitus. Tubal blockage is one of the causes that leads to female infertility. Prevalence of fallopian tube obstruction is 19.1% in the fertile age group. A diagnosed case of infertility due to left tubal blockage, visited our Institute for non- surgical management of tubal blockage and consequent infertility. The line of treatment was to normalize the Vata kapha Doshas and remove the Srotorodha in the fallopian tube. Because patient had unilateral tubal blockage, chances of conception were there yet patient didnt conceive even after two years of regular unprotected intercourse. As per Acharya there are four factors i.e. Ritu, Kshetra, Ambu and Beeja that are responsible for successful conception. Treatment approach was to balance all these factors. Treatment protocol- Shodhana Karma (Vamana and Virechana) and Lekhana Basti followed by Uttarbasti. Discussion-Tubal blockage can be considered as Sanga Srotodushti in Artavavaha srotas or Beejavaha srotas. Vamana Karma and Virechana Karma removes the Srotorodha and pacify the vitiated Doshas. Uttarbasti is the most effective local treatment in gynecological disorders. Results-The outcome of the treatment resulted in opening of tubal blockage and consequent conception. Conclusion-The present case signifies the fruitful outcome of Ayurvedic treatment in the field of infertility.
