Effect of Stress Coping Program on the Level of Vocational Burnout of Counselors

Abstract
In this study, the effect of Stress Coping Program on the level of vocational burnout of counselors was examined. 21 counselors working in Gaziantep participated to the study. Firstly, counselors were assigned to the experimental and control groups randomly. Stress Coping Program which was 10 sessions was conducted to the counselors in the experimental group, control group did not receive any treatment. Maslach Burnout Inventory was administered to all the participants beginning of the program and after implication of the program one week later. ANCOVA was used to examine the effectiveness of the treatment. The result indicated that the Stress Coping Program was effective on personal accomplishment dimension of burnout of counselors who are in experimental group.
