An Investigation of Teachers’, Parents’, and Students’ Opinions on Elementary Students’ Academic Failure

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out factors that causes elementary education students’ academic
faliure. Participants were selected by using criterion sampling. Data were collected by elementary education
studetns, their parents, and teachers through open ended survey. Collected data were analysed by using
descriptive and content analysis. It was found that students’ academic failure were related uninterested parents,
lack of students motivation, schools realted problems, lack of teachers’ quality, program and system related
problems.
