The Effect of Group Guidance Activities Regarding Adolescence and Sexual Health Education on Knowledge and Attitudes of 6th Graders

Abstract

In this study, the effect of group guidance activities regarding adolescence and sexual health education on knowledge and attitudes of 6th graders was examined. An experimental design was used as a research method, and there were 22 students in the experimental group and 24 students in the control group. In order to measure the knowledge and attitudes of students related to the adolescence and sexual health, “Knowledge Test for Adolescence and Sexual Health”, “Attitude Scale”, and “Personal Information Form” were used. The data collection tools were developed by the researchers. The findings of the study showed that there was a significant increase in the knowledge and attitudes of students who attended group guidance activities related to adolescence and sexual health.
