The goal of the study is to find out answers to the following problem. What is the level of effect of using video player on reading comprehension of primary school 5th year students? An analytic method was applied. Findings were conducted by using test and control groups of ten students. 10 students in the test group were recorded with a video camera while they were reading. Records were examined by three teachers and their mistakes in reading were noted on reading-forms. Test group-students were given a reading comprehension test and findings were reported. Then they were given a chance to watch their reading and their mistakes were shown to them. Having watched their mistakes, students were made to read again, the reading comprehension test was reapplied and test scores were written down. The same procedure without video camera records was applied to the control group. Four different statistical test were used to determine the differences between control group and test group. As a result of this analytic study, significant differences were found between the control and test group on behalf of the test group who were supported with video player. As a result of comparison of the groups, the students who watched their reading records were found more successful in reading comprehension than those who didnt do so.
