In this study, the stages of development of the measurement tool that can be used for measuring the attitudes of 4 and 5th grades of primary school students towards music lesson, are explained. In the circumstances of Turkiye, the validity and reliability studies of the tool have been done on 245 students of 4 and 5th grades of primary school level. Statistical package program (SPSS) has been used for the analyses. Its validity has been counted by component analysis and its reliability has been counted by Cranbach Alpha Technique. At the end, the coefficient of reliability according to Cronbach Alpha is found .86 for a one factor consisting of 20 items. All these have showed that it is a valid and reliable tool in measuring the approaches of the 4 and 5th grade of primary school students attitudes towards music lesson.
