Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) is the most important and common infection affecting patients ventilated with mechanical ventilators in intensive care units (ICU). VAP is defined as incubation-free pneumonia at 48-72 hours after endotracheal intubation. This retrospective study included adult patients (> 18 years old) who were hospitalized in our hospitals General ICU between January 2018 and December 2019.
