Abstract
This paper attempts to study the role of financial and non-financial incentives on the performance of the individuals working in startups. A start-up working model is completely different from a well-established firm thus the needs of employees differ too. The study reveals employees prefer non-financial incentives and growth over financial incentives. As startups provide great opportunity for employees to develop entrepreneurial skills they give due importance to both financial and non financial incentives.
Key words: Financial , non financial incentives, startups.
