DENTAL CARE DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC: GUIDELINES FOR TEACHING HOSPITAL OPDs

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a worldwide cessation of routine dental care. Owing to the proximity to the source of disease, dental professionals and allied health care workers are extremely prone to infection from SARS.CoV2. Since most of the working force of a Dental College is comprised of students and house officers of varying degree of skill, the chances of acquiring and community dissemination of this virus are multiplied. It is therefore, the objective of this paper is to provide guidelines for opening ODPs associated with Teaching Dental Hospitals keeping in mind this unique nature of workplace.
