Abstract
Post surgical acute renal failure (ARF) is a serious complication with high morbidity and mortality. The prevention of the development of ARF must be preferable approach rather than dealing with the complications for the patients undergoing surgery. Identifying and optimizing the patients in the risk group, making out an appropriate anesthetic plan, implementing specific monitoring and appropriate methods for following up the renal function and implementing effective methods when distortion comes out in renal function are basic principles for a successful prevention. In this article, the causes, risk factors, the incidence and preventive medicine implementations prevention of ARF.
