The COVID-19 pandemic and the changes in patients’ healthcare, which arose from it, necessitate studying patient satisfaction regarding medical care. This article aims to present and analyse patients' opinions about general practitioners and outpatient specialists in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. To do so, we have distributed a questionnaire survey among 2720 patients who visited a general practitioner and 1032 patients who visited a dermatology specialist in Specialized Outpatient Care (SOC) in the city of Sofia during the period 01.10.2020 – 31.03.2021. The respondents were asked about their opinion on the work of the doctor they visited (the physical exam and the medical treatment prescribed), how long they waited before they were admitted to the doctor’s office, and how they would evaluate the medical care they received. The study results show that 87.4% of patients who visited a GP and 89.4% of respondents who visited a dermatologist are satisfied with the doctors they visited different degrees, even though they tend to lose much time waiting before the doctor’s office. 71.5% of respondents who visited a GP and 71.3% who visited a dermatologist evaluated their medical care as “excellent” or “very good”.
