Measuring Students’ Attitude for Using English Language at Higher Education Level

Abstract

The main objective of this study was measuring students’ attitude for using English language at higher education. The research was descriptive in nature.This study was concerned with the student’s attitude and anxiety towards the English language at university level. The data was collected from students of the university. The population of the study consisted of four universities of Lahore district; two universities were from public sector and two were private. A five-point Likert scale was used.Sample was taken by convenient sampling. It was recommended that teachers must have the proper knowledge and understanding regards the profession, policies, and practices of the education system so the student’s attitudes could be improved toward the English language.
