Naevus lipomatosus superficialis: A case report

Abstract

Naevus lipomatosus superficialis is a rare, idiopathic, adipose connective naevus characterised by ectopic adipose tissue in mid and lower dermis. Two clinical subtypes have been described. Classical form consists of multiple grouped nodules and/ or plaques. The second one is the solitary form that presents as a single, skin coloured nodule. In this report, a 24 year -old man with naevus lipomatosus superficialis is presented and reviewed with the literature.
