Comparison of extremity lengths with sex, age and height, of primary school children in Maiatya

Abstract


 

The extremities are the organs of the human body which posses a number of functions and provide movement. The growth of these parts of body like the other parts of the body depends on the race, sex and socio-economic factors. In this study, the same basic antropologic regions of the human body were measured in 432 girls and 468 boys aging between 7 to 11 years. There was no statistical differences between boys and girls in the length of the upper extremities at the ages of 7, 8, 10 and 11 years. However, a slight difference was observed ( p
