A case of Long QT Syndrome In A Neonate

Abstract


 

Long QT syndrome is a rare cardiac defect characterised by syncope, life threatening tachyarrhytmias and sudden

death. Although long QT syndrome has mostly been reported among adults, there are children presenting with

this syndrome as well. We report a newborn baby presenting with long QT on electrocardiography and having

polymorphic tachyarrhytmia causing death of the case.
